Purpose: This job aid lists the Transmittal Types used in NEICE.

A transmittal is the official ICPC communication between two states in NEICE. There are different transmittal types that can be sent or received when working on an ICPC case. Below are the different Transmittal types:

  • HOME_STUDY_REQUEST
  • HOME_STUDY_UPDATE
  • HOME_STUDY_RESPONSE
  • STATUS_REPORT_REQUEST
  • STATUS_REPORT_RESPONSE
  • PROGRESS_REPORT_REQUEST
  • PROGRESS_REPORT_RESPONSE
  • CONCURRENCE_REQUEST
  • CONCURRENCE_RESPONSE
  • PLACEMENT_DECISION
  • ADDITIONAL_INFORMATION

Each request type is a separate transmittal. The state can send multiple transmittals on a case.  But, you cannot combine multiple transmittal types in a single transmittal.

Choosing the Transmittal Type for sending 100A or 100B is important as it populates certain fields and dates in the database.

Home Study Request - 100A-Initial

Home Study Response - 100A-Completed

Home Study Update - Changes in 100A

Placement Decision - 100B.
