Purpose: This job aid provides a short description of the ICPC Analytics Hub. The hub allows access to a snapshot of your state’s ICPC data so you can review trends and timelines for AFCARS, APSR, CFSP, CFSR and Title IV E reporting. Reports include both your state’s data and the national averages so that these values may be directly compared. Users can drill through from ICPC request counts or child counts to view the cases that make up that count and export that case list to Excel. The reports were constructed from metadata that passes through the NEICE Clearinghouse highway. Only electronic records have been included, and no personally identifiable data is available.

  • Summary data reports showing request counts by type
  • Timeliness reports detailing if cases are meeting Safe and Timely or Timeline for Placement Decision and showing median days to placement decision
  • Reports showing median* days to placements decision or placements made

*Median is the middle number of a sorted list of numbers. It is less affected by outliers than the mean (average).

Filters

Users may filter the data displayed in reports using the filter feature. These filters are available:

  • Dates - Calendar Year, Federal Fiscal Year, State Fiscal Year or Custom Date Range (note that only up to 3 years of data may be displayed at a time due to layout constraints, 6 years may be displayed if “Show National Data” is deselected)
  • Case Perspective – Receiving or Sending
  • Case Type – Public or Private
  • Regulation Types
  • Placement Types
  • Placement County (for Receiving Data only)

Some advanced filters may not be applicable so are not available. All selected filter names are displayed at the top of the report so it is clear what data are included in report.
